05/11/2026, 11:17The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic will put into circulation a new silver collector’s coin, ‘Shanghai Cooperation Organisation – 25 Years’, from the ‘Historical Events’ series, from 11 May 2026.
The coin marks the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, an international association that brings together ten Eurasian states on the basis of the principles of equality, mutual trust and respect for sovereignty.
The obverse features the official SCO emblem and the flags of the organisation’s member states: Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. An inscription in Kyrgyz and Russian reading ‘Shanghai Cooperation Organisation – 25 Years’ runs around the edge. Also indicated are the metal fineness (Ag 925), weight (28.28 g), face value (10 KGS) and the national currency symbol.
The reverse side features a map of the member states, the coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic and the number 25. The inscription ‘Kyrgyz Republic’s National Bank / National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic’ runs around the edge, with the year of issue, 2026, indicated at the bottom.
The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic notes that the coin has the status of legal tender within the country.
Each coin is encased in an acrylic capsule, comes in a presentation box and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Sales will take place at the National Bank’s ticket office on working days from 9:00 to 14:00. The price of the coin is 15,350 KGS.
