01/28/2026, 16:45Unknown individuals, posing as department heads and other officials of the National Bank, send messages via instant messengers to employees of organisations supervised by the National Bank about alleged problems and ask them to contact a ‘coordinator’.
The ‘coordinator’ then uses various pretexts to demand access to confidential files and documents belonging to the organisations.
"We urge you to remain vigilant and not to trust such messages. If in doubt, double-check the information through official sources and under no circumstances disclose personal data, official or other confidential information. Please note that the National Bank does not provide services related to criminal cases and does not make such calls to citizens and organisations", — the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic said in a statement.
