06/22/2025, 10:44The National Bank reported on the results of its work to combat illegal foreign currency trafficking in 2024.
During the reporting period, 194 inspections were carried out in joint raids with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Tax Service on suspicion of unlicensed currency exchange activities.
According to the regulator, as a result of the inspections, 192 individuals and two legal entities were held liable for violating currency legislation. The total amount of fines imposed amounted to 3.5 million KGS. The sanctions were applied in accordance with the Code of Offences.
Control measures will continue in 2025, including unscheduled inspections and monitoring of compliance with licensing requirements.
