An expert from the United States has become an independent member of the board of directors of Bank Kompanyon

On July 18, 2025, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic approved two candidates for key positions in the country's commercial banks.

Mukhtar Bubeev was approved as chairman of the risk management committee of Bank Asia CJSC. Ivan Gulmagarashvili was also approved as an independent member of the board of directors of Bank Kompanyon CJSC.

According to open sources, Ivan Gulmagarashvili is an international expert with over 20 years of experience in consumer lending, digital financial solutions, and strategic management. During his career, he has led large-scale projects in the banking and fintech sectors in the US, UK, Europe, and Eastern Europe. Ivan currently holds the position of Global Head of Product at Amazon (USA).

The decisions were made within the scope of the regulator's supervisory powers and are aimed at strengthening corporate governance in financial institutions.
