Non-ferrous metals drove industrial growth

Kyrgyzstan has seen an 11% increase in production within the base metals and fabricated metal products sector, according to data from the National Statistics Committee

Non-ferrous metals were the key driver, with output rising by 5.2%. It was the non-ferrous metallurgy segment that made the main contribution to the sector’s performance.

At the same time, positive trends are also being observed in the food industry. Food production, including beverages and tobacco products, increased by 16.8%. This growth was driven by an expansion in the production of soft drinks, the processing of fruit and vegetables, and an increase in the production of bakery products, oils, meat products and flour.
