11/11/2025, 16:45The Ministry of Energy is implementing a set of measures aimed at improving the reliability of the country's energy system and ensuring a successful autumn-winter period.
Chakan HPP OJSC has also carried out a number of comprehensive works and is now 100% ready for the autumn-winter period.
In 2025, Chakan HPP plans to carry out major repairs on four hydroelectric units: hydroelectric unit No. 1 of the Bystrovskaya HPP; hydroelectric unit No. 1 of HPP-6; hydroelectric unit No. 1 of the Malaya HPP; and hydroelectric unit No. 1 of HPP-5.
To date, all four hydroelectric units have undergone complete overhaul and have been put into operation.
In addition, Chakan HPP specialists have carried out scheduled repairs and modernisation work on the main and auxiliary equipment of hydroelectric power plants in a timely and high-quality manner. For example, old oil circuit breakers on overhead power lines have been replaced with modern vacuum circuit breakers. Vacuum circuit breakers are reliable, environmentally friendly and do not require constant maintenance. This measure has increased the safety of the equipment, reduced operating costs and minimised the risk of emergencies.
In addition, the power transformers at HPP-2 have been replaced with more powerful transformers.
Chakan HPP OJSC is also continuing work on the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles.
