OAO ‘Electric Power Stations’ has a new chief executive

Ulugbek Taalaybekovich Mamyraliev has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of OJSC ‘Electric Power Stations’. The decision was taken by the company’s board of directors.

The new CEO has over 20 years’ experience in Kyrgyzstan’s energy sector. Throughout his career, he has been involved in managing production and investment processes, has headed up production and technical departments, and has participated in the implementation of major projects to modernise the country’s energy infrastructure.

In particular, Mamyraliev took part in strategic projects at the Toktogul and Uch-Kurgan hydroelectric power stations.

Ulugbek Mamyraliev holds two higher education qualifications. In 2006, he graduated from the Faculty of Energy at the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University, specialising in ‘Power Stations’. In 2014, he completed his studies at the KSTU Institute of Management and Business, specialising in ‘Management’.

OJSC ‘Power Stations’ is Kyrgyzstan’s largest power generation company. It accounts for approximately 84 per cent of the country’s electricity generation. The company comprises seven hydroelectric power stations: Toktogul, Kurpsay, Kambarat-2, Uch-Kurgan, At-Bashin, Shamaldysay and Tash-Kumyr.

The total installed capacity of the company’s facilities is 3,293.76 MW.
