The volume of interbank foreign exchange transactions in Kyrgyzstan amounted to $53.95 million over four days

In Kyrgyzstan, between 16 and 19 March 2026, the total volume of transactions on the interbank foreign exchange market exceeded $53.95 million. The highest volume of transactions was recorded on 19 March, when the figure stood at $22 million.

It was on 19 March that the highest figure was recorded — $13 million was accounted for by transactions settled on the trade date and a further $9 million by those settled on a different date. This is the highest daily figure for the week.

By comparison, on 18 March the volume stood at $11.5 million, on 17 March at $7.95 million, and on 16 March at $12.5 million. Thus, market activity increased significantly towards the end of the period.

Meanwhile, the dollar exchange rate remained stable at 87.4500 KGS both at the opening and closing of trading, with no sharp fluctuations.
