Official unemployment has fallen to 1.4%. These are mainly men with secondary education

As of December 1, the officially registered unemployment rate in Kyrgyzstan was 1.4%, according to the Ministry of Labor, Social Welfare, and Migration. This is lower than in September, when the rate was 1.5% or 42,700 people.

As of October 1, the population of the republic reached 7.37 million people. The labor force amounted to 2.86 million, of which 2.76 million are employed and 104,700 are classified as unemployed. The overall unemployment rate is estimated at 3.7%.

At the same time, 58,565 unemployed people were registered with employment services at the beginning of December. This is 21.5% less than a year earlier. At the same time, the number of officially registered unemployed people decreased to 39,841 (-26% year-on-year).

The structure of registered unemployment shows that the most numerous group is men with secondary general education (grades 10–11). There are 23,422 people registered in this category, while there are 10,244 women, which indicates the predominance of men in this category.

The second largest group is citizens with basic general education (grades 5–9) — 9,435 people, of whom 4,205 are women. Among the unemployed, 2,586 people have higher education (1,683 women), 2,447 have secondary vocational education (1,496 women), and 1,450 have primary vocational education (621 women). .

Thus, the highest proportion of unemployed women are those with higher education.
