Cucumber Prices Have Risen by Nearly 36%: How Fruit and Vegetable Prices Have Changed in Kyrgyzstan

Since the beginning of 2026, cucumbers, apples, tomatoes, and cabbage have seen the sharpest price increases in Kyrgyzstan. These figures were released by the National Statistics Committee based on first-quarter results.

Compared to December 2025, prices for cucumbers rose by 35.9%, apples by 31.1%, tomatoes by 27.7%, and cabbage by 24.8%. Potatoes rose in price by 2.9%.

At the same time, onion prices fell by 2.1%, carrot prices by 0.5%, and beet prices by 1.3%.

In March alone, the most significant price increases were seen for tomatoes (up 13.2%), apples (up 12.7%), and cabbage (up 10.4%). Cucumbers rose in price by 2.3%, while potatoes fell by 0.8%, onions by 2.4%, carrots by 1.6%, and beets by 2.3%.

The statistics reflect changes in consumer prices for specific types of fruits and vegetables based on the results for March and the first quarter of 2026.
