06/28/2026, 16:27The central stadium in the city of Shamaldy-Sai has reopened following a major renovation. Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev attended the ceremony and presented the new “Shamaldy-Sai” soccer club with a certificate for 1 million som.
The renovated sports complex, covering an area of 1.79 hectares, has a capacity of 1,335 spectators. In addition to a modern soccer field, the complex features basketball and volleyball courts, running tracks, and facilities for athletes and fans.
The 1 million som grant is intended to support the activities of the newly established “Shamaldy-Say” soccer club. The new stadium will serve as the team’s primary venue for training and hosting home games.
During a working trip to the Jalal-Abad Region, the Prime Minister also visited the new training and educational facility of the “Neftchi” soccer club in the city of Kochkor-Ata. The complex includes a 30-room hotel, a gym, medical and rehabilitation rooms, a conference hall, and a training field.
The Shamaldy-Saya Central Stadium was built in 1961 and remained the city’s main sports arena for a long time. Its renovation began in December 2023 and was completed as part of a state program to develop sports infrastructure.
