01/06/2026, 17:02Optima Bank allocated over 1 billion KGS for dividend payments based on its performance in 2024. The majority of the funds went to the bank's main shareholder, Alatau City Bank, formerly known as Jusan Bank.
According to the disclosed data, the total amount of dividends accrued was 1 billion 49.4 million KGS. In fact, 1 billion 19.5 million KGS were paid out, or more than 97% of the accrued amount.
Thirty-four shareholders were entitled to receive dividends, but payments were made to only five of them. The remaining 29 shareholders did not receive dividends — this concerns 3.2 million shares for which payments were not claimed.
The bank explains that the reason for non-payment is related to the historical “tail” of unclaimed dividends for previous years. The balance of unpaid dividends for the periods 2002–2014, 2016–2017, and 2023–2024 amounts to 50.9 million KGS. The main reason is that shareholders did not show up to receive the funds due to them.
In terms of capital structure, 97.143% of Optima Bank's shares are owned by Alatau City Bank, a large Kazakh bank that was officially renamed from Jusan Bank in 2025. Thus, it became the main recipient of more than a billion in dividend payments.
At the end of the reporting period, Optima Bank had a total of 34 shareholders, of which 17 were individuals and 17 were legal entities. The share of legal entities in the capital exceeds 99.9%, which highlights the concentrated ownership structure of the bank.
