Osh Region received nearly 11 billion KGS from the republican budget in 2025

In 2025, the state allocated about 11 billion KGS to the Osh Region, including 8.543 billion KGS in capital investments, of which 8.1 billion KGS were fully financed. The funds were used for 357 projects, said the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliyev, during a visit to the region.

Of the allocated funds, 3.7 billion KGS went to social facilities: 133 schools, 57 kindergartens, 17 medical institutions and 35 cultural and sports complexes, noted the head of the Ministry of Public Works.

4.348 billion KGS were allocated to infrastructure projects, including 82 motorways, the Uzgen-Myrzake-Kara-Kuly road (2.2 billion KGS), 13 water supply facilities and 19 irrigation facilities (317.9 million KGS). An additional 1.329 billion KGS was received in the form of transfers to support local budgets.

The region's budget in 2025 grew to 6.447 billion KGS, compared to 4.731 billion KGS in 2024. At the same time, as the head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance emphasised, the total gross industrial production in the region remains low: 22.8 billion KGS, which is 2.3 times less than the indicator for Talas.

Adylbek Kasymaliyev instructed to improve the quality of industrial products, develop exports, stimulate PPP projects, support entrepreneurs and attract investment. Particular attention should be paid to the processing of agricultural products and the development of industries with high added value. The commission rated the work of the Uzgen and Chon-Alai districts as ‘good’ and the work of the Osh region as a whole as ‘satisfactory’.
