The Osh Region has seen the highest rate of price rises – prices have risen by 12.5 per cent over the past six months

Between January and June 2026, consumer prices and tariffs in Kyrgyzstan rose by 5.5 per cent. Services, in particular, became 8.3 per cent more expensive, whereas a year earlier, their increase over the same period had been just 1.3 per cent.

According to the National Statistics Committee, goods as a whole rose in price by 4.6 per cent in the first half of the year. Prices for food and non-alcoholic drinks rose by 5.4 per cent, and for non-food goods by 3.3 per cent, compared with December 2025.

The highest price increase among the regions was recorded in the Osh Region – 12.5 per cent. There, services rose by 21.8 per cent, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products by 17.3 per cent, and non-food goods by 9.8 per cent, compared with December 2025.

By way of comparison, in January–June 2025, consumer prices across the country as a whole rose by 4 per cent. This year, the rate of price growth was 1.5 percentage points higher.
