Beef is more expensive in Bishkek than in Astana and Minsk

In June 2026, a kilogram of beef in Bishkek cost an average of $9.27. This is more expensive than in Astana ($7.88) and Minsk ($7.45), but cheaper than in Moscow ($11.60).

According to data from the National Statistics Committee for June 2026, lamb in Bishkek cost $9.79 per kg. In Astana, the price was higher — $11.21 — and in Moscow — $14.38.

Butter in Bishkek was significantly cheaper than in the other capitals surveyed: $5.86 per kg compared with $12.10 in Astana, $15.26 in Moscow and $9.05 in Minsk.

However, eggs in Bishkek were more expensive than in Astana and Minsk: $1.56 per dozen compared with $1.19 and $1.26 respectively. In Moscow, the price was $1.54.

Potatoes in Bishkek cost $0.70 per kg — almost the same as in Astana ($0.71), and cheaper than in Moscow ($1.12) and Minsk ($0.82).
