Pakistan is showing increasing interest in Kyrgyzstan's mineral resources and investments

Pakistan is showing increasing interest in Kyrgyzstan's mineral resources and investments. Director of the National Investment Agency Farhat Iminov met with Deputy Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Marwan Alex Ayash to discuss prospects for cooperation.

The focus is on the development of gold, copper, tungsten, and granite deposits. Pakistan's participation in the CASA-1000 energy project has also been confirmed. The parties discussed measures to improve the investment climate: the introduction of a single register of investors, simplification of procedures, and the issuance of accreditation cards.

Over the past five years, direct investment from Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan has grown significantly. While in 2020 it amounted to $2 million, in 2023 it peaked at $6.9 million. In 2024, investments amounted to $4.6 million.

“Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan are stepping up cooperation in agriculture, energy, trade, and the digital economy. The potential for further development is very high,” said Farhat Iminov.
The National Investment Agency will continue to create conditions to attract investors and strengthen ties with key partners.
