Kyrgyzstan's passport has fallen to 73rd place in the world

Henley & Partners has published its updated global passport ranking. Kyrgyzstan has dropped one place and now ranks 73rd out of 199 countries. Currently, Kyrgyz citizens can visit 63 countries without a visa.

The reason for the decline was the exclusion of Mauritania from the list of countries where Kyrgyz citizens could previously enter without a visa. No new visa-free destinations were added during this period.

At the same time, Kazakhstan rose two places and now ranks 63rd — its citizens can visit 79 countries without a visa. The growth was ensured by new agreements with Morocco, Tanzania, and Montenegro.

Uzbekistan retained its position (74th place), compensating for the loss of Mauritania with visa-free travel to China.
Armenia also dropped one line and ranks 71st (67 countries).

Singapore (193 countries), Japan, and South Korea (190 countries each) are the leaders in the ranking.
Russia, however, lost two positions and ranks 46th, with access to 114 countries.
The US and the UK also fell — for the first time in 20 years, the American passport is in danger of falling out of the top 10.

The index is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and shows how many countries can be visited without a visa or with a visa on arrival.
