Pensions in Kyrgyzstan to be awarded without the need for applications: Social Fund launches new system

The Social Fund is preparing to launch a new Automated Information System (AIS), which will change the procedure for awarding old-age and disability pensions.

Once the system is in place, citizens will no longer need to gather documents themselves or visit Social Fund offices to apply for a pension.

The AIS will automatically retrieve the necessary data on employment history and income, calculate the amount of pension payments and process the pension award.

The process will be carried out via digital services. One month before reaching retirement age, citizens will receive a notification from the Social Fund in their personal account on the ‘Tunduk’ mobile app.

Upon receiving the notification, users will need to confirm their details, after which the system will carry out the necessary calculations and process the pension award.

The Social Fund notes that the introduction of the new system is aimed at simplifying access to public services, reducing paperwork and improving convenience for citizens.
