07/11/2025, 09:13The introduction of an electronic document management system (EDMS) in the Presidential Administration and state authorities of the republic has significantly reduced budget expenditures. According to estimates, savings in state funds for 2024 amounted to 1.205 billion KGS.
Today, the EDMS is actively used by 3,415 state and municipal institutions, as well as 135 commercial organisations, which indicates the expansion of the digital infrastructure for document management in the country.
In the first half of 2025 alone, approximately 5.2 million documents were registered in the system. This is 30% more than in the same period last year, when there were 4 million, and 73% more than in the same period in 2023, when there were 3 million.
Every day, between 40,000 and 42,000 new documents are recorded in the system.
In addition, by 1 July, over 9,500 draft regulatory legal acts had been processed through the EDMS. This confirms the high degree of adaptation of digital solutions not only in administrative but also in regulatory processes.
Furthermore, the transition to electronic format saves up to 30 minutes per document compared to paper, and expenses for stationery, paper and office supplies have been reduced by 90%.
