Following a decision by the Cabinet of Ministers, the company “Kyrgyz Sputnik” has been renamed “Kyrgyz Asman”

The Cabinet of Ministers has renamed the open joint-stock company “Kyrgyz Satellite” to “Kyrgyz Asman.” Adylbek Kasymaliev signed the corresponding resolution on June 11.

At the same time, amendments were made to the February decree on the company’s establishment; in all sections, the name “Kyrgyz Satellite” was replaced with “Kyrgyz Asman.”

It is interesting to note that the decision to rename the company was made just a few months after its establishment. According to registration data, the company “Kyrgyz Satellite” was registered on April 20, 2026, as an open joint-stock company with 100% state ownership. Its sole founder is the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan.

The registration documents list space transportation as the company’s primary activity.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry has now been tasked with re-registering the company with the judicial authorities, updating its internal documents to reflect the new name, and taking other measures required by the resolution.
