Almost 280,000 people have activated a self-imposed credit ban via the ‘Tunduk’ app

Between 1 November 2025 and 15 May 2026, 278,135 people activated the self-imposed credit ban service via the ‘Tunduk’ mobile app. This is evidenced by data from the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic for the specified period.

A self-imposed credit ban allows a person to restrict the taking out of loans in their name without their involvement. The measure is necessary to protect against fraudulent schemes where attempts are made to take out loans using someone else’s documents or personal data.

The service can be activated via digital platforms. Once the self-exclusion is active, banks and other financial institutions must take the restriction into account when assessing loan applications.

The interest in the service shows that the issue of protecting personal financial data in Kyrgyzstan is becoming increasingly relevant. The more digital services there are, the greater the interest in them from fraudsters — their maths is, of course, simple.
