05/04/2026, 09:00In January–February 2026, the bulk of Kyrgyzstan’s state budget operating expenditure was allocated to the social and cultural sector. This accounted for 44.7% of total expenditure, or 28 billion 750.1 KGS.
In second place were expenditures related to economic activity. 17 billion 821.3 million KGS were allocated to the development of relevant sectors, accounting for 27.7% of operating expenditure.
An almost comparable amount was allocated to general public services, as well as to defence, public order and security – 17.513 billion KGS, or 27.2%.
The smallest share of expenditure is recorded under the environmental protection heading. 242.5 million KGS have been allocated for these purposes, corresponding to 0.4% of total operating expenditure.
