Almost all of Kyrgyzstan’s trade with the EAEU is concentrated in two countries

In January 2026, Russia became Kyrgyzstan’s largest trading partner among the EAEU countries, with trade turnover exceeding $272 million, followed by Kazakhstan.

This refers to Kyrgyzstan’s external and mutual trade with EAEU countries for January 2026. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Russia — $272.2 million in trade turnover (exports — $116.3 million, imports — $80.9 million),
  • Kazakhstan — $115.1 million (exports — $27.8 million, imports — $92.7 million),
  • Belarus — $9.3 million (exports — $1.7 million, imports — $46,200),
  • Armenia — $240,400 (exports — $88,000, imports — $152,400).

Russia and Kazakhstan account for the bulk of trade within the union.

Kyrgyzstan has been a member of the EAEU since 2015. Russia and Kazakhstan remain the country’s key partners within the union, accounting for the majority of trade.
