The resolution provides for the establishment of a preferential excise tax rate of 1 KGS per litre from 15 May 2025. This measure will reduce the cost of production, increase its competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets, and contribute to the fulfilment of tasks to increase the processing and export of agricultural products.
The document was developed in cooperation with the State Tax Service and the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry. As part of the public consultation process, the decree was finalised taking into account the opinions of members of the Kyrgyz Parliament and representatives of the agricultural business.
The reduction in excise duty is an important step towards the sustainable development of domestic production of natural beverages. Thanks to this, natural compotes, nectars and fruit drinks will become more affordable for the population, while demand for products from domestic farmers will increase.
