According to the President’s authorised representative office in the Batken region, 40,3 thousand tonnes of coal have been delivered to residents to date. Thus, 66 per cent of the April–November target has been met, whilst 40 per cent of the annual target has been achieved.
To ensure the population is supplied with fuel, 69 coal sales points have been set up in the region. Of these, 31 are municipal outlets, and mobile sales points are also in operation.
Contracts for the supply of fuel have been concluded with Kyrgyzkomur OJSC and coal-mining enterprises. To date, the Southern Branch of Kyrgyzkomur has delivered and is selling 826.3 tonnes of coal to the public.
Furthermore, under agreements between the aiyl okmotu and coal-mining enterprises, 6,229 tonnes of coal have been supplied directly to the public, without intermediaries. Sales are carried out at prices agreed with the Batken Regional Branch of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, which do not exceed the established limits.
Since October, coal supplies to the region’s districts have been stepped up to ensure residents are provided with fuel in good time ahead of the cold weather.
Meanwhile, between January and September 2026, around 50 coal-mining enterprises in the region produced 1 million 69.1 thousand tonnes of coal.
In the Batken Region, more than 1 million tonnes of coal were mined during the first nine months of 2026.
