The ‘Talas Arena’ stadium, with a capacity of 5,000 spectators, has opened in Talas

The opening of the ‘Talas-Arena’ central stadium took place in the city of Talas on 2 November. The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, attended the ceremony.

The new stadium has a capacity of over 5,000 spectators. The main football pitch has been built to international standards and is fitted with a hybrid turf surface and an automatic irrigation system.

The site also features two training pitches, three five-a-side football pitches and a modern lighting system. The facility is designed to host training sessions, official competitions, international matches and other sporting events.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the development of football is one of the strategic priorities. In particular, the football development programme up to 2034 provides for the modernisation of sports infrastructure, the identification of young talent and the creation of conditions for the sport to be enjoyed by the general public.
