10/16/2024, 12:06At the conference on public-private partnership (PPP), Talantbek Imanov, Director of the National Investment Agency, emphasised the importance of the platform for joining efforts between the state and business, and for discussing topical issues at the national and international levels.
Imanov noted that currently, the PPP projects' portfolio in Kyrgyzstan includes 80 projects with a total investment volume exceeding $1 billion. Since the beginning of 2024, more than 20 agreements worth about $300 million have been signed, which shows the growing interest of the private sector in the implementation of infrastructure projects.
"These results show that we are moving in the right direction. The National Investment Agency will continue to actively work on new projects that will help strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the international arena and contribute to sustainable economic growth,’ Talantbek Ibrahimov said. Talantbek Imanov noted.
The conference also discussed further steps to attract investment and increase the role of the private sector in the key projects' implementation aimed at developing the country's infrastructure and economy.
Several PPP projects are also being implemented in the healthcare sector - haemodialysis, computer tomography and lithotripsy centres have been established. Projects on prenatal screening and medical rehabilitation are being prepared.
