Qatar's ambassador thanked Torobaev for helping investors

Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting with Ali Jaber Al-Marri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Kyrgyzstan.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Qatari cooperation, including preparations for the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Qatari Intergovernmental Commission, which is planned to be held in Bishkek in 2026, as well as possible high-level visits.

A separate emphasis at the meeting was placed on investment cooperation. Bakyt Torobaev confirmed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to provide practical and institutional support to Qatari investors interested in implementing projects in Kyrgyzstan, including in the agricultural and processing sectors.

For his part, Ambassador Ali Jaber Al-Marri expressed his gratitude to Bakyt Torobaev and the Kyrgyz side for their assistance to Qatari investors, noting their constructive approach and openness to cooperation. The diplomat also confirmed Qatar's commitment to previously reached agreements and its interest in further expanding multilateral partnerships.
