Kyrgyz Ambassador meets with OIC Secretary General to discuss cooperation with Africa

On 29 April 2025, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Hossein Brahim Taha in Jeddah.

They discussed the progress of Kyrgyzstan's initiatives within the OIC, as well as possible areas for closer cooperation. Maripov spoke separately about plans to strengthen ties with African countries in politics, economics and through mutual visits.

The OIC Secretary General thanked Kyrgyzstan for its active participation in the organisation's affairs and supported its desire to establish relations with Africa. The parties agreed to stay in touch and continue their joint work.
