A company in the Issyk-Kul Region is set to receive support to expand its safflower oil production

Rysgul Akimzhanova, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and the Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, familiarised herself with the activities of agricultural product processing enterprises during a working visit to the Issyk-Kul Region.

In particular, she visited the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of Processing Industry and Organic Agriculture. Representatives of the department spoke about their work and the available material and technical resources.

The department’s building had previously undergone major refurbishment and been fitted with modern equipment. With this, specialists provide local residents with assistance on matters relating to agriculture and the processing industry.

Rysgul Akimzhanova also visited ‘Erdik’ LLC in the village of Aral, which specialises in the production of safflower oil. The company produces environmentally friendly oil, with the majority of its output sold on the domestic market in Kyrgyzstan.

Following the visit, the Deputy Minister noted that the ministry would provide the company with support in expanding production and securing the necessary raw materials.

Furthermore, in the village of Tasma, she familiarised herself with the operations of a company producing soap made from natural herbs. These products are also mainly sold on the domestic market.

During the working visit, representatives of the enterprises outlined their current activities and plans for further development.

Rysgul Akimzhanova emphasised the importance of increasing the volume of processing of local agricultural raw materials, establishing new production facilities and expanding cooperation with entrepreneurs.

The Deputy Minister also listened to proposals from business representatives and expressed her willingness to support initiatives aimed at developing the processing industry and increasing the volume of local production.
