In the first quarter of 2026, the Talas Region attracted almost $80.4 million in investment

The Talas Region is seeing growth in key indicators in the investment and social sectors. Investment in fixed assets rose from 4.6 billion KGS in 2020 to 7.9 billion KGS in 2025.

By the end of 2025, the growth rate of investment stood at 141.1 per cent. In January–June 2026, this figure reached 135.4 per cent.

Against the backdrop of rising investment activity, the number of jobs created is also increasing. Whilst 1,966 jobs were created in 2020, this figure rose to 10,288 in 2024. A further 8,688 jobs were created in 2025, and 4,374 in January–June 2026.

The average wage in the region has more than doubled over the past five years — from 16,156 KGS in 2020 to 37,099 KGS in 2025. In January–June 2026, the average wage stood at 50,294 KGS.

At the same time, the subsistence minimum also increased: from 4,948.9 KGS in 2020 to 8,151 KGS in 2025. In the second quarter of 2026, it stood at 8,785 KGS.

A similar trend can be observed in foreign direct investment. In 2020, the volume stood at $36,581.4 million, rising to $127,900.8 million by 2022.

In subsequent years, the figure declined, standing at $66,230.4 million in 2025. However, in January–March 2026, the volume of foreign direct investment reached $80,387.5 million, showing a positive trend compared with the previous year.
