    Kyrgyzstan's Prime Minister Backs EDB Digital Initiatives Fund Projects

    Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliyev held a meeting with Tigran Sargsyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank and Curator of the Digital Initiatives Fund.

    During the dialogue, 15 digital projects developed by the Fund in Kyrgyzstan were presented. Kasymaliyev noted the importance of digital transformation for improving the quality and accessibility of public services, emphasizing the value of regular meetings for developing partnerships.

    Priority areas include the creation of a digital migrant profile, the development of the Presidential Situation Center, an environmental monitoring system, and transport modeling for Bishkek. Digital solutions in the fields of healthcare and tourism were also discussed. Sargsyan thanked the Kyrgyz government for its support for the initiatives, noting the high level of project development and readiness for implementation.

    The EDB Digital Initiatives Fund has been operating since 2020, promoting the digitalization of participating countries through resource integration and investment. The bank itself has 305 projects worth $16.5 billion aimed at developing infrastructure, green energy, and digital systems, with a focus on the UN's sustainable development goals and ESG principles.
