Crime in Kyrgyzstan fell by 5% in 2025

In 2025, 34,467 crimes were recorded in the republic — 1,885 fewer than in 2024. The majority of these were minor and less serious offences.

According to law enforcement agencies, of the total number of crimes:

  • 29,168 (84.6%) were minor and not particularly serious,
  • 4,197 (12.2%) were serious,
  • 1,102 (3.2%) were particularly serious.

A 5.2% decrease in the number of crimes has been recorded across the country, reflecting the work of law enforcement and supervisory bodies in preventing and investigating crimes.

Crime statistics are compiled on the basis of data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Public Prosecutor’s Office and other law enforcement agencies. Serious and particularly serious crimes continue to require special monitoring and enhanced response measures.
