President Sadyr Zhaparov signed a law simplifying taxation and social insurance for a number of sectors. The document has already entered into force.
What is important for citizens and businesses:
- The sale of cars until 2029 is almost completely exempt from taxes. Until 2026, individuals do not pay taxes, penalties and sanctions on income from the sale of cars.
- Jewellers and textile manufacturers receive benefits: exemption from VAT, unified insurance contributions and a minimum income tax of 1%.
- Tax rates for businesses abroad and on foreign transactions have been reduced to 0.1%.
- Legalisation of previously imported or manufactured jewellery with a moratorium on inspections and the possibility of stamping products with their own hallmark.
- Licensing for retail sales of alcohol has been abolished.
The law facilitates business, stimulates production and reduces the financial burden on citizens. The authorities expect that the changes will increase the investment attractiveness of key sectors of the economy.
