10/09/2026, 13:53In Kyrgyzstan in 2025, car sales rose by 42.5 per cent compared with the previous year. Sales of building materials also increased significantly – by 35.5 per cent – as did sales of pharmaceuticals – by 31.2 per cent – and fuel and lubricants – by 24.8 per cent.
According to statistics, the turnover from the retail trade in non-food goods exceeded 641 billion KGS, rising by 34 per cent over the year.
Bishkek accounted for the largest share of the retail trade – over 44 per cent of the total volume. This was followed by the Jalal-Abad region with a share of around 15 per cent and the Chui region with around 14 per cent.
Among food products, the most notable increases were in sales of pasta – up 6 per cent – and cereals and pulses – up 5.9 per cent.
