10/09/2026, 15:00Retail turnover in Kyrgyzstan reached 1.16 trillion KGS in 2025, an increase of 25.7 per cent compared with the previous year. Meanwhile, the share of organised retail rose to 67.2 per cent, whilst that of open-air markets fell to 32.8 per cent.
According to statistics, retail organisations accounted for around 784 billion KGS of turnover — 14.4 per cent more than in 2024. Sales at general, mixed and food markets exceeded 382 billion KGS, rising by 22.2 per cent.
Food products accounted for 524.6 billion KGS, whilst non-food products accounted for 641.5 billion KGS. Retail turnover per capita reached almost 159,000 KGS, which is 10.4 per cent higher than the figure for 2024.
