10/08/2026, 17:27In 2025, sales of key foodstuffs in Kyrgyzstan increased significantly compared with the previous year. Sales of pasta rose by 6 per cent, cereals and pulses by 5.9 per cent, non-alcoholic drinks by 3.6 per cent, and flour by 3 per cent. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
Retail turnover for non-food goods exceeded 641 billion KGS, rising by 34 per cent over the year and 2.1 times compared with 2021.
The highest year-on-year growth in sales was recorded for motor vehicles (42.5 per cent), building materials (35.5 per cent), pharmaceuticals (31.2 per cent) and fuels and lubricants (24.8 per cent).
Growth in retail turnover was recorded in all regions of the republic. Bishkek accounted for over 44 per cent of the total volume, the Jalal-Abad region for around 15 per cent, and the Chui region for around 14 per cent.
