The largest markets in the capital—Osh, Alamedin, Ortosai, and the Dordoi Food shopping center—were inspected.
Particular attention was paid to the prices of beef and mutton, which are sensitive products for consumers' wallets. The service representatives not only recorded the price situation but also conducted explanatory work among sellers. Sellers were reminded of their responsibility for unjustified price increases and the importance of complying with the requirements of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the Protection of Consumer Rights.”
Market administrations were also involved in the dialogue. They were instructed to strengthen control over retail outlets and ensure compliance with legislation on consumer protection. The consequences of violations, including the liability provided for by law, were explained.
