Work in Korea with a salary of $1,700: more than 4,300 Kyrgyz citizens were interested in the EPS program

This year, 4,315 Kyrgyz citizens sought advice on employment in Korea under the EPS (Employment Permit System) program. This was reported by the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration.

The program is implemented in accordance with a memorandum with the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor. It has been in effect since 2007 and is renewed every two years.

To participate in the EPS in 2025, two stages of testing for knowledge of the Korean language were conducted. A total of 1,350 people took the exam, of whom 339 candidates passed. As a result of the selection process, 225 applicants received employment contracts, and 232 Kyrgyz citizens, including 30 women, left to work in Korea.

Most of those employed work in the food, chemical, and paper industries, as well as in factories producing plastic, rubber, and glass products. The average salary under the program is about $1,700.

Currently, more than 1,500 Kyrgyz citizens are working in Korea under the EPS program.
