09/12/2025, 12:11In less than nine months of this year, parliament spent 1.036 billion KGS . This data is shown on the Open Budget state portal.
The expenses include the apparatus of the Jogorku Kenesh (979.3 million KGS) and the Reserve Fund of the Torag Jogorku Kenesh (56.8 million KGS).
More than 80% of all expenditures are labour costs. They amounted to 864.4 million KGS in the period under review. This amount includes 754 million KGS in net salaries, as well as bonuses, compensation and other payments. It turns out that the main beneficiary of the parliamentary budget remains the parliament itself.
The second area of expenditure is the repair and maintenance of the Zhogorku Kenesh buildings. This cost almost 340 million KGS. The overhaul of non-residential premises cost 262 million KGS, with another 243 million KGS listed under ‘other buildings’.
As a result, we see that the lion's share of funds is spent on salaries and infrastructure.
According to the plan for the year, 1.5 billion KGS have been allocated to the Jogorku Kenesh. There is still a quarter of spending ahead.
