The project is being implemented as part of Sadyr Zhaparov's directive to reduce the shortage of school places and eliminate three-shift schooling. The new four-story building will provide 450 additional places and create 60 jobs for teachers.
According to the fund, the facility will meet international standards. The building will house STEM laboratories, robotics classrooms, and facilities for inclusive education.
According to the RCF, the fund has financed 45 projects in the field of educational infrastructure for a total of about $17 million. The expansion of the Svetoch school will be part of this program.
The educational institution also runs the Russian Teacher Abroad program, in which Russian teachers work with Kyrgyz schoolchildren. In addition, the school cooperates with international organizations, which expands the opportunities for graduates to enter foreign universities.
The foundation has stated that it will continue to invest in social infrastructure, including the modernization of educational facilities.
