06/25/2026, 17:41The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan set the official exchange rates for foreign currencies as of June 26. The Russian ruble continued to decline against the KGS for the third consecutive day, while the dollar remained unchanged.
The official ruble exchange rate fell from 1.1698 to 1.1676 KGS, losing another 0.19% over the past 24 hours.
Since the start of the week, the Russian currency has depreciated by 2.04%. While the official exchange rate stood at 1.1919 KGS on June 22, it had fallen to 1.1676 KGS by June 26.
However, the current downward trend began much earlier—on June 12. At that time, the official ruble exchange rate reached 1.2135 KGS, after which, despite brief corrections, the Russian currency has been depreciating almost continuously. Over the past two weeks, the ruble has lost about 3.8% of its value against the KGS.
The day before, on June 24, “Akchabar” reported that the ruble had lost 1.54% over two days. The latest decline has reinforced the downward trend.
Meanwhile, the other major currencies showed gains.
For example, after two days of decline, the euro and the yuan strengthened by 0.13%. The euro rose from 99.2776 to 99.4088 KGS, and the yuan rose from 12.8478 to 12.8640 KGS. The tenge rose by 0.33%, climbing from 0.1795 to 0.1801 KGS.
The U.S. dollar exchange rate, as in previous days, remained unchanged at 87.45 KGS.
