From 1 May, electricity in Kyrgyzstan will increase in price by 27 tyyns

How will electricity tariffs change by 2030? This was announced by Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev at a meeting of the Housing and Utilities Committee.

According to the minister, in the coming years, the cost of electricity will increase as follows: in 2027 — by 33 tyyn, in 2028 — by 39 tyyn, in 2029 — by 47 tyyn, and in 2030 — by 57 tyyn, after which the tariff will reach its actual cost.

The tariff increase will be gradual and annual:

• 1 May 2026 — 1 KGS 64 tyyina per kWh (up to 700 kWh);
• 1 May 2027 – 1 KGS 97 tyyyn;
• 1 May 2028 – 2 KGS 36 tyyyn;
• 1 May 2029 – 2 KGS 83 tyyyn;
• 1 May 2030 – 3 KGS 40 tyyna;

Currently, residents pay: up to 700 kWh – 1.37 KGS, over 700 kWh – 2.60 KGS per kWh.
