From 23 February, there will be a new taxation procedure for imports and goods

The State Tax Service informs that from 23 February 2025 an updated list of goods with set prices for importers from EAEU countries and entrepreneurs producing products within the country will come into effect.

Previously, the taxable value applied exclusively to imported goods from EAEU member states. However, a new resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 5 February 2025 extends this procedure to goods produced in Kyrgyzstan. Now the value added tax (VAT) will be calculated taking into account the assessed value of not only imported but also domestic goods.

The changes are aimed at increasing the transparency of taxation and creating a level playing field for businesses.
