Starting in July, parents will pay for their children's meals in kindergartens

The Department of Education explained the situation regarding the increase in meal prices in kindergartens.

Based on the Law «On Education’ of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to implement the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers ‘On certain issues of preschool educational organisations», the procedure for organising meals for children in preschool educational organisations was approved, according to which, in Chapter 11, paragraph 13, the Bishkek City Council has set a fixed monetary contribution for meals at 120 KGS per day per child.
According to this procedure, from 1 July, parents will be responsible for paying for meals in kindergartens.

Kindergarten directors have been instructed to conduct explanatory work among parents.
The Department of Education clarified that there are 118 municipal kindergartens in the capital's education system.
