    Since the beginning of the year, 529.8 million soms have been paid in the form of maternity benefits

    For 10 months of this year the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration paid 529.8 million soms in the form of maternity allowance.

    In accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers from the 11th working day the amount of this allowance for women of plain area was doubled and amounted to about 7 thousand 500 soms. While in 2023, the amount of payment amounted to 3 thousand 500 soms.

    For women working in the highlands and remote hard-to-reach areas, the maternity benefit is paid in the amount of full salary, i.e. 100% of the salary for all working days.

    As of November 1, 2024, maternity benefits have been paid to 25,857 women.
