07/23/2026, 13:15On 23 July, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov, held a meeting in Cholpon-Ata with the Belarusian Foreign Minister, Maxim Ryzhenkov. The parties discussed the state of bilateral relations and the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Zhaparov noted that the necessary conditions for strengthening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus had been established, including political dialogue, a legal and treaty framework, and the implementation of previously reached agreements.
Particular attention was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation and joint projects.
The Belarusian Minister for Foreign Affairs conveyed greetings to Sadyr Zhaparov from the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. He said that the country would be able to contribute to the Council’s work.
The parties also discussed Alexander Lukashenko’s forthcoming participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit and the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games.
Following the meeting, Sadyr Zhaparov and Maxim Ryzhenkov reaffirmed their readiness to continue cooperation and implement the agreements reached between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
