Sadyr Zhaparov discussed the financing terms for the Kambarata HPP-1

Sadyr Zhaparov addressed citizens with an explanation of the conditions for attracting investment for the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1. According to the head of state, these are favorable loan terms.

"We are attracting $1.5 billion for 50 years without interest. The grace period is 10 years. Construction will take 7-8 years, after which the station will immediately begin operating," the president noted.

Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that the funds are being raised for specific, targeted projects, not to cover budget expenditures. According to him, the repayment of such loans will not require budget payments, as each project must pay for itself through its own activities.

Speaking about the Kambarata HPP-1, the head of state noted that the income from the operation of the station will allow the loan to be repaid much earlier than the deadline.

“The income from its activities will allow the loan to be repaid not in 50 years, but in about 15 years,” he said.
