Recall that the introduction of sanctions became known as early as 30 January. ‘Keremet Bank OJSC has sent a petition to be removed from the OFAC sanctions list. This petition is currently under review and the timing of its consideration depends on a number of factors,’ the National Bank said.
Since March 2022, the National Bank has been sending regular letters of clarification to commercial banks, emphasising the need for strict compliance with international sanctions and warning of the risks of secondary sanctions.
