The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved amendments to the decree on the Bishkek Free Economic Zone, increasing its territory and updating its development parameters.
A new plot of 0.53 hectares, located on the site of the former Western Bus Station in Bishkek, has been added to the zone. The decision effectively expands the geographical scope of the FEZ and opens up additional sites for projects.
Furthermore, the updated regulations stipulate that the FEZ may develop not only manufacturing sectors but also tourism. This broadens the zone’s scope and makes it more attractive for investment across various industries.
The document comes into force 15 days after its official publication.
